About Scrapbook Answers’ Girls’ Weekend

As the scrapbooking magazine that does things a bit differently than the others, Scrapbook Answer is planning a different kind of scrapbooking workshop/retreat. We believe that while a scrapbooking weekend should be heavy on the scrapbooking and learning, it should also be heavy on the "weekend away" vibe (read: some time to relax and enjoy some time away from home) as well as an opportunity to spend time with other people who share in our passion for scrapbooking.

To that end, we are introducing the first "Girls Weekend" this August 10-13 in Phoenix, AZ, complete with lots of workshops, cropping time, goodies from sponsors, and a few spa treatments thrown in for good measure. Rather than plan out learning tracks and assignments, "Girls Weekend" will focus more on classes where you can complete a project, learn a new technique, gain insight from people in the industry who make their livelihoods scrapbooking as well as cropping time where you can work on techniques learned that day.

Your teachers for the weekend will be Pink Martini's Amy Goldstein, Making Memories' Margie Romney-Anslett, Lil' Davis Designs' Michelle Hill, Kimberly Kwan, Lindsay Teague, Emily Falconbridge-Contributing Designer to the "Designing With" series from Autumn Leaves and Scrapbook Answers' own Ana Cabrera. Jenni Bowlin of Jenni Bowlin Studios will also be on hand on Saturday to teach a special bonus prize class.

Lodging at the Arizona Biltmore is separate and should be handled directly with the Biltmore. Discounted rate is $119/night.
