For a fun and unique picture frame set, I started with a hanging frame set from IKEA to make this project for my elf. Because the frames did not have a lot of room, I was unable to layer papers and embellishments. Each frame is 6" square and each matte is for a 4" picture which made using the Arctic Frog Lily Pad a big help. Instead of double matting, I edged all the papers and photo mattes with paint. This gave me added texture without adding layers. I adhered the papers back to back so that there was a decorated frame on each side of the frame set. I also put a variety of embellishments on the outside of the frames because I didn't have room within the frames. This gives the whole project a more dimensional appearance than just a framed picture. The frame set came with little see-thru cords to hang between each frame. For a final touch, I chose to use ribbon to add a more festive look to the frame set.
