The Creative Imaginations Bare Elements giftcard holder is such a cool gift item. It can be used in it’s intended purpose – as a giftcard holder. Yor you can do as I did – alter it and make it into a desktop frame. To start, I selected the papers I wanted to use. I chose the Cosmo Cricket Wonderland papers. To cut the hole out of the patterned paper where the photo would be placed, I first measured the dimensions of the hole, and then drew them onto a sheet of scrap cardstock. I cut the rectangle template out of the cardstock. Then I measured how far the hole is from the top and sides of the cardholder, which served as a guide to get correct placement of the template. I then traced the cardstock template onto the patterned paper in pencil, and cut it out, and I had my hole in just the right place. I adhered the paper to the cardholder on both sides. I also adhered paper to the other side of the card holder. I added some Cosmo Cricket tags, We R Memory Keeper chipboard letters and numbers, and Basic Grey ribbon, and it was done! It took very little time to complete, and I think it makes a great gift (my sweet darling husband will be the recipient of this on ;) ). Supplies:
