I seem to have an over abundance of school papers, receipts and phone numbers stuck up on the cork board in the kitchen. I can ALWAYS use some more push pins… and cute homemade push pins are all the better! (and what a perfect custom gift for a teen, your sister, a friend!) For this simple project I started out by covering my push pins with patterned paper. (I used KI gloo to adhere the paper) My next step was using my AWESOME new Fiskars squeeze punch to make 4 little matching arrows. I inked the edges on the arrows and adhered them to the covered push pin tops. After giving them a couple minutes to dry I used my ink pad to ink all the way around the edges of the push pins. I love the way the alternating patterns and inked edges really make them POP! Epoxy covers on top and voila!! I’ve got a few more sets in planning as well… you can add anything to the pin tops as long as it’s flat…
