This is an easy project and Riley is just dying for me to hand it over! I wanted to make a special valentine box for my girl this year. I started by cutting a piece of cardstock for the opening {mine is 11/4 x 4”}. I placed my cardstock onto the top of the purse and traced around it & then following the lines I just drew, cut my opening. Next I punched 2 holes in each side of the purse, I did two holes to add a bit more security so when it hangs it will not fall. Next I painted the sides of the purse in pink. Once the paint dried I selected two different patterned papers that I thought were fun & girly, measured & used mod podge to seal the paper to the purse. I used an exacto knife for trimming here & there. I then put in my ribbon strap, starting from the outside, slip your ribbon through the hole and then back out through the second hole & knot. Once I had my ribbon knotted on both sides of the purse I tied my ends at the top & added a Ki Heart & r ibbon. I then added a Ki chipboard envelope to the front of the purse to indicate it is her valentine box & used some of Heidi Swapps bling around the opening!
